First appearance of "Longyan" BYD Han EV/DM official map released
A few days ago, BYD officially released its medium and large cars — — The official map of the EV/DM model of Han adopts a four-door coupe body design as a whole, and its drag coefficient is only 0.233Cd. It is understood that the wind drag coefficients officially announced by Geely Geometry A, Xpeng Motors P7, Guangzhou Automobile New Energy Aion S, Volkswagen ID. Spacedimension Concept Car and SSC Tuatara are 0.2375Cd, 0.236Cd, 0.245Cd, 0.24Cd and 0.279Cd respectively. At the same time, according to previous information, the car may be listed at the end of the second quarter/early third quarter (around June) in 2020.
According to the official map released this time, the new car continues the family-style design language of BYD Dragon Face as a whole, and the combination of the heavily depressed front and the slightly raised three-dimensional lines on the hood creates a feeling of diving. At the same time, the flat and narrow light group with the lower three-stage air inlet and the slightly shovel-shaped front lip makes the new car look more dynamic and atmospheric.
According to the official release, we can see that the reddish color in the picture is the Han EV model; Xuan cyan is a Han DM model. It is worth mentioning that BYD Han EV version has upgraded and evolved the family Dragon Face language in front face design, further improving its overall recognition and vehicle drag coefficient.

In terms of side modeling, it uses a smooth arc to outline the slip-back body modeling, and the waistline with a strong sense extends from the back door to the rear of the car in an upward posture, making the whole side look like a sense of sight that is ready to go. At the same time, starting from the C-pillar of the car, the upper part of the car cabin is gradually narrowed, forming a beautiful and powerful wide shoulder shape. With the design of hidden door handles, the airflow direction that fits the car body is strengthened, the eddy current on the side of the car is effectively reduced, the wind resistance is further reduced, and the wind resistance coefficient is optimized.

According to the official, the car that pursues low wind resistance pays attention to the design concept of "round front and rear". The more round the front section of the car, the faster it can fit the car body when the wind hits the car at the beginning, while the more square the rear section, the faster the wind can leave the car body at the rear. It is worth mentioning that the car is also equipped with a "pneumatic" wheel rim independently developed by BYD, and its hollow ratio is about 8%. This design can reduce the drag coefficient to a lower level while ensuring the heat dissipation of the brakes.
In 2015, BYD released some parameters of the car under study (see the above picture). It can be seen that the length, width and height of the car are 4950/1890/1490mm and the wheelbase is 2940 mm. In terms of power, the front-wheel drive model is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 2.0T engine and a 150 HP front-axle motor, while the three-engine four-wheel drive model will also add a rear-axle motor with a maximum power of 476 HP. For more information about the new car, we will continue to pay attention. (Author: Zhouyi)
